Working with Appsmediaz4 questions
What kind of companies do you typically work with?
+
We serve startups, growing product teams, and enterprises across 12+ industries. Most clients fall into four buckets: tech product companies needing extra engineering capacity, non-technical founders with vision and funding, enterprises modernising legacy systems, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) needing scale or independent workstreams.
How is Appsmediaz different from other software companies?
+
Three things: we're privately owned with no VC or PE pressure, so we make decisions on a ten-year horizon. We sell outcomes (fixed-price sprints) rather than hours, so our incentive aligns with yours. And the engineer who pitched the project is the engineer who ships it — no bait-and-switch.
What sizes of projects do you take on?
+
Engagements typically range from $8,000 for a focused MVP or design sprint to $300,000+ for full enterprise platforms or multi-year delivery pods. We've turned down both very small projects (where our overhead doesn't fit) and very large ones (where the scope didn't make sense).
Are you a vendor-neutral consultancy?
+
Yes. We don't take referral fees, we don't resell SaaS, and we have no financial incentive to recommend any specific cloud, framework, or vendor. Recommendations are based on what fits your team and budget.
Engagement & pricing4 questions
How does pricing work?
+
Three engagement models. Fixed-price project (clear scope, milestones, deliverables). Dedicated team / Delivery Pod (monthly, predictable cost for an assigned team). Time & Material (hourly for ongoing or evolving work). We provide written quotes after a free 30-minute discovery call.
How quickly can you start a project?
+
We keep a pool of pre-vetted engineers ready. From first call to engineers actually shipping code is typically 1 to 2 weeks. Full delivery pods take 2 to 3 weeks to assemble. Discovery sprints can usually start within a week.
Do you sign NDAs?
+
Yes. Mutual NDAs are signed before any meaningful discussion. NDAs are standard, fast, and we'll send you our template — or work from yours.
What happens if I want to scale down or end the engagement?
+
We never lock clients into long contracts. Scaling down requires 30 days' notice. Full exit involves a knowledge-transfer handover — documentation, runbooks, and code walkthrough — at no extra cost.
Delivery & process4 questions
How do you deliver projects?
+
Two-week sprints with weekly demos. Transparent project boards (Linear, Jira, or your tool). Slack or Teams channel with your team. Daily standups where they help. Weekly written status reports. No black boxes, no end-of-quarter surprises.
Who owns the code and IP?
+
You do. All source code, designs, and documentation produced during an engagement are assigned to your entity by contract from day one. We don't reuse it, we don't license it, and we don't claim residual rights.
How do you handle code quality?
+
Every commit reviewed by a peer engineer. Automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels (the right depth varies by project). Static analysis in CI. Performance budgets where they matter. We'd rather ship slower than ship sloppy.
Can you work in our timezone?
+
Yes. Our team has 4 to 6 hours of overlap with US, UK, EU, and AU timezones. Daily standups, weekly demos, and async-first communication ensure progress is visible regardless of timezone.
Technical & AI4 questions
Which technologies do you specialise in?
+
Mobile: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native. Web: React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, TypeScript. Backend: Node.js, Python, Java, Go, PHP. AI: OpenAI, Claude, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LangGraph. Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP — all three certified.
Do you build AI products?
+
Yes — our AI Lab focuses on shipping AI into production. We build GenAI integrations (LLM applications, copilots), custom AI agents, machine learning systems, computer vision pipelines, NLP and document AI, and the MLOps infrastructure that keeps all of it running.
Do you handle SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS compliance?
+
Yes. We build with security and compliance in mind — encryption, access controls, audit logs, data residency. We've helped clients pass SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS audits with the documentation we produce.
Can you work with legacy systems?
+
Yes. We've modernised systems built in the early 2000s, integrated with closed enterprise platforms via SOAP and EDI, and built adapter layers for legacy ERPs and core banking systems. Modernisation is usually phased, not big-bang.
Hiring & team extension4 questions
Can I hire dedicated developers from Appsmediaz?
+
Yes. We offer three engagement models: Team Extension (1 to 3 engineers into your existing team), Delivery Pods (managed squad of 4 to 10), and Development Centres (10 to 100+ engineers with your branding). Onboarding takes 1 to 2 weeks.
What if an engineer isn't the right fit?
+
Replacement within 48 hours, no questions asked. The engineer you interview is the one who joins — we don't switch them out after signing.
Are your engineers full-time employees?
+
Yes. Everyone you work with is a full-time Appsmediaz employee with company benefits, training, and a manager — not a freelancer or subcontractor.
How do you vet engineers?
+
Engineers go through a structured interview process — coding challenge, system design, behavioural — followed by a paid trial week on a real project before a full offer. Most candidates don't make it. Our average tenure is 4.2 years; the bar matters.
